This article examines the self‐rated health, symptoms and health behaviour of upper secondary vocational students in Finland. The data consist of the responses of first‐ and second‐year vocational students (n = 34 554) to the 2013 School Health Promotion Survey. The data were analysed statistically and processed separately for girls and boys. Associations between self‐rated health, symptoms and health behaviour and fields of study were examined by cross‐tabulation. Statistical significance was measured using the chi‐squared test. Self‐rated health, symptoms and health behaviour were found to have a statistically significant association with field of study (p < 0.001). Vocational students in different fields had different experiences of health, different symptoms and different health behaviours. The results complement existing evidence about disparities in well‐being among young people in the context of education.  相似文献

目的:探讨力量支持协同护理模式在经口喂养不耐受<34孕周新生儿中的应用效果。方法:选取2019年1月—2020年8月收治的102例<34孕周经口喂养不耐受新生儿作为研究对象,将2019年1月—2019年10月接受常规护理的51例患儿作为对照组,将2019年11月—2020年8月接受力量支持协同护理模式的51例患儿作为观察组。比较两组经口喂养进程(留置胃管时间、过渡时间、住院时间)、喂养效率及患儿行为状态变化。结果:观察组患儿留置胃管时间、过渡时间、住院时间均短于对照组(P<0.05);观察组患儿干预第3天、实现全口喂养时吸吮效率和喂养效率均高于对照组(P<0.05);观察组患儿干预3 d、干预5 d后行为状态优于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:力量支持协同护理模式能有效改善早产儿经口喂养表现,减轻经口喂养不耐受症状,进一步推进经口喂养进程,缩短经口喂养过渡时间。  相似文献

Critical care nursing is a postgraduate residency program that was initiated by the Indian Nursing Council to address the critical care service requirements for the increasing number of patients across India due to the increasing burden of communicable and noncommunicable diseases among its population. This article describes the experiences and challenges of a leading nursing institution in India, the Manipal College of Nursing (Manipal), in initiating and implementing the program. Additionally, the authors discuss the need for starting a critical care nurse practitioner program in India and the introduction of critical care nursing in the country. The government of India and the Indian Nursing Council have made a prudent decision to start a postgraduate residency program in critical care to address the requirement of the Indian population. Despite the infancy stage of this program, its graduates provide hope for competent care to critically ill patients. It is the most cost-effective method for a resource-scarce country such as India to fulfill the requirements of critically ill patients. However, further nationwide uniform policies are essential for credentialing, privileging, and creating appropriate employment for the graduates of the program.  相似文献

The effects of climate change include floods, hurricanes, heat waves, and fires; these natural disasters can result in respiratory, cardiovascular, and psychological harm in older adults, who experience the highest morbidity and mortality during heat waves. Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) need education on preparing, assessing, and treating older adults for climate-change disasters, especially heat waves. This article will help APRNs understand the effects of climate-change events on the vulnerable older adults and advocates for the need to integrate health effects of climate change into curricula, practicums, policy, and research agendas.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to illuminate pediatric neonatal nurses' (PNNs') experiences of enhancing early attachment for the premature children in neonatal intensive care (NIC). An interview study with 8 PNNs in NIC in southeastern Sweden was conducted, and analyzed by content analysis. Result, illustrated three categories: Enabling closeness between the child and the parents, Supporting parents’ sense of parenthood, and Obstacles to enhancing attachment. Discussion, PNNs have a great role to supporting parents, but several barriers need to be addressed to make it easier for the PNN in NIC to enhance attachment for the child.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo examine the impact of an integrative medicine (IM) course on self-perceived IM-related communication and research skills.MethodsA 3-day mandatory "hybrid" (online and in-person) IM course was held within COVID-19 restrictions for 161 pre-clerkship medical students, with workshops facilitated by mentor healthcare professionals (IM and non-IM) and student-directed tasks. Self-perceived levels of 6 IM-related skills were scored (from 1 to 5) for history-taking; communicating with patients with "alternative" health-beliefs; referral to IM consultations; assessing risks/benefits; and working with non-medical IM practitioners.Results137 students (85.1%) completed pre-/post-course questionnaires, with overall scores improving from pre-course (1.98 ± 0.92) to post-course (3.31 ± 0.63; p < 0.0001), for the entire group and student subgroups (with vs. without prior IM experience). Multivariate analysis found no association between age, gender, primary language or prior experience with IM and improvement in skill scores.ConclusionsThe IM course increased self-perceived skill levels, reflecting the course curriculum and workshops. Further research needs to explore the application of these skills during clinical training.Practice implicationsTeaching medical students about IM in a course comprising communication and research skills was shown to be feasible and effective. The application of IM-related skills needs to be evaluated during the clinical clerkship.  相似文献

目的研究风险管理在儿科急诊护理工作中的应用。方法选取2021年10月至12月间来我科室就诊的100例患儿作为研究对象,将其分为研究组、对照组两组,每组各50例患儿。运用常规护理模式护理对照组患儿,运用风险管理模式,为研究组患儿给予护理干预,分析二组发生不良护理事故的情况并统计护理满意度。结果研究期间,研究组不良护理事件发生率为2.0%,对照组不良护理事件发生率为12.0%;研究组对护理工作的满意度为98.0%,对照组对护理工作的满意度为84.0%,P<0.05,组间差异具统计学意义。结论将风险管理应用于儿科急诊护理工作,可降低不良事件发生几率,保障患儿安全,具有推广应用价值。  相似文献
